The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

A Christmas Dream

Fast asleep on a winter’s eve
Fly to a land of make believe

Cross the sea to a magic town
Christmas trees all year round

Whirl through the forest of candy cane
Wave to the children on a steam train

Follow the road to a gingerbread cottage
For a tasty bowl of cinnamon porridge

Hidden amongst the snowy rooftops
Hustle and bustle of Santa’s workshop

Red wooden sleigh with presents piled high
Reindeer soar through the frosty night sky
