The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

A Handful of Summer

Listen to the poem ...
Bring me a handful of Summer
scented with warm seaside breeze,
a hint of strawberry ice cream
and sprinkle of sweet memories.

Bring me a handful of Summer
wrapped in a golden sunray
and I’ll keep it here in my pocket
to save for a rainy day.
