Agnes’s Pet
Agnes Dee
Owned a flea.
She kept it on a little lead.
Flea was small,
Could jump and crawl.
It was the strangest pet indeed.
Agnes Dee
And her flea
Went everywhere together.
Smaller than
A grain of sand
And it tickled like a feather!
Then today
It jumped away
Now there’s a flea that’s free to roam!
Disappeared!
And it is feared
That flea is looking for a home…
Where is he,
That tiny flea?
Agnes has lost her little pet.
He could be
On you or me…
So, do you feel itchy yet?
Owned a flea.
She kept it on a little lead.
Flea was small,
Could jump and crawl.
It was the strangest pet indeed.
Agnes Dee
And her flea
Went everywhere together.
Smaller than
A grain of sand
And it tickled like a feather!
Then today
It jumped away
Now there’s a flea that’s free to roam!
Disappeared!
And it is feared
That flea is looking for a home…
Where is he,
That tiny flea?
Agnes has lost her little pet.
He could be
On you or me…
So, do you feel itchy yet?
