The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

At Granny's House

Three Cinquains
Granny’s kitchen
Baking
the best sponge cake
crammed full of jam and cream,
and afterwards, licking the spoons…
Yummy!

Granny’s Garden
Roses
scramble skyward.
Scented petals open
for bumble-bees to buzz from bloom
to bloom.

Granny’s Attic
Ladders
up to a space
filled with forgotten things.
Searching for treasure and finding…
Spiders!
