Crustacean Castle
One morning while building a castle
constructed with seashells and sand,
I reached for a lump
that caused me to jump
when claws waved “hello” to my hand.
A tiny red crab scuttled forward.
Surveying my castle, he said,
“Your beach home design,
was made over mine.
My burrow now towers instead.”
“Oh no! This won’t do!” I responded.
“I should have inspected these shores.
I give this creation
to you, Sir Crustacean.
This sand-tastic castle is yours!”
constructed with seashells and sand,
I reached for a lump
that caused me to jump
when claws waved “hello” to my hand.
A tiny red crab scuttled forward.
Surveying my castle, he said,
“Your beach home design,
was made over mine.
My burrow now towers instead.”
“Oh no! This won’t do!” I responded.
“I should have inspected these shores.
I give this creation
to you, Sir Crustacean.
This sand-tastic castle is yours!”
