Daydreaming
I’d like to go on a trip
To see a humpback whale
I’d like to take a flight to Mars
Or stroke a lion’s tail.
I’d love to jump from star to star
And walk a rainbow path
I’d love to swim with pink dolphins
In my own tin bath.
I wish to talk to dinosaurs
To stroke them like a cat
I wish to sleep beneath the moon
Inside a giant’s hat.
My dreams, they are great wonders –
Even through the day –
They pass the time and bring good thoughts
Will you daydream today?
To see a humpback whale
I’d like to take a flight to Mars
Or stroke a lion’s tail.
I’d love to jump from star to star
And walk a rainbow path
I’d love to swim with pink dolphins
In my own tin bath.
I wish to talk to dinosaurs
To stroke them like a cat
I wish to sleep beneath the moon
Inside a giant’s hat.
My dreams, they are great wonders –
Even through the day –
They pass the time and bring good thoughts
Will you daydream today?
