Goodnight, Art
Hula hooping parakeets, a blue robot moose,
there are three million paintings I want to produce!
I’ve sketched out a race track round Jupiter’s rings
with cars made of noodles and dragonfly wings,
it took all day long, it’s basically done,
it just needs more color to brighten the fun.
But … my tired eyes keep closing
so now I’m supposing
I’ll paint sunset beams
then tuck into dreams
of the art
I’ll start
tomorrow.
there are three million paintings I want to produce!
I’ve sketched out a race track round Jupiter’s rings
with cars made of noodles and dragonfly wings,
it took all day long, it’s basically done,
it just needs more color to brighten the fun.
But … my tired eyes keep closing
so now I’m supposing
I’ll paint sunset beams
then tuck into dreams
of the art
I’ll start
tomorrow.
