The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

Ladder and Scarf

Listen to Rob's poem ...
I was very excited when the snow came.
I said, Let’s play!
Umar said Hurray! Let’s find a ladder!
I said What?
Umar said, Let’s find a ladder.
And we’ll need a big scarf.
Or lots of scarves tied together.

I said, Can’t we just play and throw snowballs
and build a snowman?

But my mate Umar’s mum’s a zookeeper
so we’ve got to build a snowgiraffe.
