Laughter
Charlotte started laughing,
Then found she couldn’t stop,
Her Teacher got annoyed at her
And went into a strop.
The other children in the class
They started laughing too,
And when the noise got very loud
What could the Teacher do?
The more she shouted the more they laughed,
And as she stared in disbelief
The Headmistress came hurrying in,
Which was a huge relief
For she was a kindly lady
Who the children all adored;
And when she saw what was going on
She opened her mouth and roared ...
With laughter!
The Teacher just stood watching
Then she too joined in -
And everyone went home that day
With huge and happy grins.
Then found she couldn’t stop,
Her Teacher got annoyed at her
And went into a strop.
The other children in the class
They started laughing too,
And when the noise got very loud
What could the Teacher do?
The more she shouted the more they laughed,
And as she stared in disbelief
The Headmistress came hurrying in,
Which was a huge relief
For she was a kindly lady
Who the children all adored;
And when she saw what was going on
She opened her mouth and roared ...
With laughter!
The Teacher just stood watching
Then she too joined in -
And everyone went home that day
With huge and happy grins.
