Leopard
Lounging languidly, high in a tree
Is the master of camouflage, tricky to see.
Covered in spots, from head to toe.
This feline is fierce.
Watch out down below.
She’s speedy, she’s springy.
She leaps through the air.
And she pounces with force
When she spies a stray deer.
Although often alone,
In a group she’s a leap.
And she likes to go hunting
While you softly sleep.
Stealthily stalking around in the dark.
Ambushing prey is a walk in the park.
Then after her meal,
It’s off home she trots.
Concealed in the morning light,
Thanks to her spots.
And she’ll never change them,
This big cat stays true
To her powerful self.
Wouldn’t you too?
Is the master of camouflage, tricky to see.
Covered in spots, from head to toe.
This feline is fierce.
Watch out down below.
She’s speedy, she’s springy.
She leaps through the air.
And she pounces with force
When she spies a stray deer.
Although often alone,
In a group she’s a leap.
And she likes to go hunting
While you softly sleep.
Stealthily stalking around in the dark.
Ambushing prey is a walk in the park.
Then after her meal,
It’s off home she trots.
Concealed in the morning light,
Thanks to her spots.
And she’ll never change them,
This big cat stays true
To her powerful self.
Wouldn’t you too?
