My Christmas Tricycle
I push, I pump, I pedal.
My brilliant beanie mashed down
My dazzling mittens grip the handles
negativity outmatched by my thinking cap
like fresh snow before footprints
dazzling cotton balls descending
I extend my legs and point my toes
I crank, turning, pedals spinning,
wheels ablur, coasting, wind flaps my jacket
grinning, steering, “love you one and all!”
mittens waving dizzy dazzling spectacle
reflections spiraling on my spectacles
Christmas is here!
spinning, circling my giant evergreen friend
craning my neck “hello giant icicles”
dangling sparkling lights loop pine branches
“Hello angel hello star!”
Christmas is here!
My brilliant beanie mashed down
My dazzling mittens grip the handles
negativity outmatched by my thinking cap
like fresh snow before footprints
dazzling cotton balls descending
I extend my legs and point my toes
I crank, turning, pedals spinning,
wheels ablur, coasting, wind flaps my jacket
grinning, steering, “love you one and all!”
mittens waving dizzy dazzling spectacle
reflections spiraling on my spectacles
Christmas is here!
spinning, circling my giant evergreen friend
craning my neck “hello giant icicles”
dangling sparkling lights loop pine branches
“Hello angel hello star!”
Christmas is here!
