My Dad's a Pirate
My dad says he’s a pirate
Well he wears a pirate’s hat
He says he has a parrot
But I’ve only seen a cat
His best friend is called Roger
But he isn’t very jolly
He isn’t keen on getting wet
And always has a brolly
Sometimes he wears an eye patch
And pretends to have a hook
But I know it's just a story
That he’s read me from a book
I don't tell him that I know this
I don't want to make him sad
Cos I want to sail the Spanish Main
With a happy pirate dad
Well he wears a pirate’s hat
He says he has a parrot
But I’ve only seen a cat
His best friend is called Roger
But he isn’t very jolly
He isn’t keen on getting wet
And always has a brolly
Sometimes he wears an eye patch
And pretends to have a hook
But I know it's just a story
That he’s read me from a book
I don't tell him that I know this
I don't want to make him sad
Cos I want to sail the Spanish Main
With a happy pirate dad
