Nature’s Beats
Owl and Squirrel race for seats
peering down from front row branches
a sweeping rainfall tsh tsh splashes
Water puddles, pooling on giant leaves
droplets splashes tap tapping concentric rings
drips drum and race down veins
a frog croaks and thumps a foot
a gecko slaps a tail
a songbird puffs her cheek for a flute serenade
wood thrushes join in chorus
bumblebee's wings buzz strings
woodpeckers peck tree drumsets
a spider spins string for instruments
beetles burrow and bump bass bells
crickets chirp and rub their wings
fireflies dot lights for a crescendoing encore
peering down from front row branches
a sweeping rainfall tsh tsh splashes
Water puddles, pooling on giant leaves
droplets splashes tap tapping concentric rings
drips drum and race down veins
a frog croaks and thumps a foot
a gecko slaps a tail
a songbird puffs her cheek for a flute serenade
wood thrushes join in chorus
bumblebee's wings buzz strings
woodpeckers peck tree drumsets
a spider spins string for instruments
beetles burrow and bump bass bells
crickets chirp and rub their wings
fireflies dot lights for a crescendoing encore
