Nature's Small Wonders
Small things like seeds with “wings”
That travel through the air.
Thin, lacy spiderwebs
We may not know are there.
Small nests of hummingbirds
On branches in the trees.
Soft hums of tiny bugs
That whisper on the breeze.
Green sticklike mantises
And snail trails on a wall.
Small sprouting violets
We may not see at all.
Right there in front of us
Such wonders to be behold.
These small and precious things
Are worth far more than gold.
That travel through the air.
Thin, lacy spiderwebs
We may not know are there.
Small nests of hummingbirds
On branches in the trees.
Soft hums of tiny bugs
That whisper on the breeze.
Green sticklike mantises
And snail trails on a wall.
Small sprouting violets
We may not see at all.
Right there in front of us
Such wonders to be behold.
These small and precious things
Are worth far more than gold.
