New Shoes (New Me)
They’re nippy.
They’re grippy.
Just the right amount of slippy.
They’re my mirror-shiners.
First-in-the-liners.
My clip-clopping,
playground hopping,
leap-to-the-top-of-
the-climbing-logs shoes.
My catch-me-if-you-can,
whizz-around-the-fielders.
My jangly-buckled bully shielders.
Hey, look at my moves!
These are my I can be anyone shoes.
They’re grippy.
Just the right amount of slippy.
They’re my mirror-shiners.
First-in-the-liners.
My clip-clopping,
playground hopping,
leap-to-the-top-of-
the-climbing-logs shoes.
My catch-me-if-you-can,
whizz-around-the-fielders.
My jangly-buckled bully shielders.
Hey, look at my moves!
These are my I can be anyone shoes.
