Oh, Come Follow

Come darling, follow the will-o-the-wisp,
follow the lights bright and gay,
follow him now, through and over and on,
and we shall all show you the way.

Follow tomorrow when bright the moon shines
follow today in the sun,
run where we lead you but don’t run away;
the will-o-the-wisp isn’t done.

Bright is his lantern and quick are his feet,
oh, see how he beckons you near—
the will-o-the-wisp dances breathtaking-close,
oh, follow him, follow him, dear.

He’ll lead you a merry dance, hither and yon,
And farther and further and then
When east of the sun and west of the moon,
He’ll stop and you’ll find me again.

Come darling, follow the will-o-the-wisp,
follow the lights bright and gay,
follow him now, through and over and on,
and we shall all show you the way.
