One Blue Bird
One blue bird
waves a wing,
scans the sky,
starts to sing.
Two fine friends
build a nest;
twigs and grass
woven, pressed.
Three warm eggs,
now there’s four,
not done yet…
Look! One more!
Five smooth shells
nestled deep—
peck, peck
CRACK!
cheep, cheep, cheep!
waves a wing,
scans the sky,
starts to sing.
Two fine friends
build a nest;
twigs and grass
woven, pressed.
Three warm eggs,
now there’s four,
not done yet…
Look! One more!
Five smooth shells
nestled deep—
peck, peck
CRACK!
cheep, cheep, cheep!
