One Night in Bethlehem
A stable on a quiet night,
a manger rough and worn.
Near tired sheep with sandy feet
a miracle is born.
Outside, the sky turns brilliant white,
the heavens swell with praise.
Young shepherds stare, then drop in prayer
while angels sing, ablaze.
The music fades, the air grows still,
and darkness falls once more.
Inside, the baby yawns, then sleeps,
as stardust coats the floor.
a manger rough and worn.
Near tired sheep with sandy feet
a miracle is born.
Outside, the sky turns brilliant white,
the heavens swell with praise.
Young shepherds stare, then drop in prayer
while angels sing, ablaze.
The music fades, the air grows still,
and darkness falls once more.
Inside, the baby yawns, then sleeps,
as stardust coats the floor.
