Polly's Brolly

Listen to Sue read her poem ...
Polly had a brolly,
And my golly was it jolly!
She took it to the park one day,
To see who she could see.
Polly met with Molly,
Who was sucking on a lolly,
Molly saw the brolly and said:
“Is there room for me?
So, Molly and her lolly,
Squeezed under Polly’s brolly,
They walked along the path once more,
To see who they could see.
Soon they met with Olly,
Who was playing with his dolly,
Olly saw the brolly and said:
“Is there room for me?”
So, Olly and his dolly,
Squeezed under Polly’s brolly,
They walked along the path once more,
To see who they could see.
Soon they met with Wally,
Who was strolling with his trolley,
Wally saw the brolly and said:
“Is there room for me?”
So, Wally and his trolley,
Squeezed under Polly’s brolly,
They walked along the path once more,
To see who they could see.
Soon they met with Holly,
Who was walking with her collie,
Holly saw the brolly and said:
“Is there room for me?”
So, Holly and her collie,
Squeezed under Polly’s brolly,
They walked along the path once more,
To see who they could see.
Soon they met with Hugh,
Who took one look at the crew,
And said... “Look, the sky’s gone blue!”
So, Holly and her collie,
And Wally and his trolley,
And Olly and his dolly,
And Molly and her lolly,
Came out from Polly’s brolly...
And SPLASHED themselves wet through!
