Somewhere over the Moonbow
Somewhere over the moonbow,
Beyond the brightest stars,
Past the swirling galaxies,
Venus, Earth and Mars,
There spins a tiny planet,
Much smaller than you and me,
And upon it lives a tiny creature,
With their tiny house and tiny tree.
This being is like no other,
For their task is to protect,
Defending the stars and comets,
Rogue asteroids they will deflect!
Although we may not see them,
It's nice to know they are there,
Keeping all of the constellations safe,
Like Orion and Ursa Major the bear.
Then at the end of their busy day,
They might give us a special show,
And light up the sky with an Aurora,
Somewhere over the moonbow.
Beyond the brightest stars,
Past the swirling galaxies,
Venus, Earth and Mars,
There spins a tiny planet,
Much smaller than you and me,
And upon it lives a tiny creature,
With their tiny house and tiny tree.
This being is like no other,
For their task is to protect,
Defending the stars and comets,
Rogue asteroids they will deflect!
Although we may not see them,
It's nice to know they are there,
Keeping all of the constellations safe,
Like Orion and Ursa Major the bear.
Then at the end of their busy day,
They might give us a special show,
And light up the sky with an Aurora,
Somewhere over the moonbow.

About the Writer
Jacoby Crane
Jacoby is an eccentric artist living in Derbyshire. They spend their time baking, making peculiar things, doodling doodles and writing oddities, currently they're focusing on poetry, haiku and short stories. Jacoby's inspiration mostly comes from their unusual dreams and the weirdly wonderful things their kids quote, but their muse comes in the form of Chris Riddell.
