Start When You’re Small
Imagine the future. Go on, have a try.
Are you picturing cars zooming high in the sky?
Or perhaps new inventions to find missing socks?
Self-tidying toys that can find their own box?
Imagine the future. What can you see?
Trips to the Moon and then back home for tea?
Non-dripping ice cream, expanding containers,
Robot retrievers to find your lost trainers?
Dream bigger, dream harder, dream wacky, dream wild.
The cleverest inventor was once just a child!
Can you picture a future, in your mind’s eye,
Where barriers are falling and hope’s flying high?
Safe homes and warm dinners and plenty for all?
Dream bolder. Dream braver. And start when you’re small.
