The Cat Who Stole Christmas

The morning the cheerful pine arrived,
was the day the plan was contrived.
A diabolical, full- on scheme
to gobble up my Christmas theme.
Twinkling tinsel was the first to fall.
Next, a precious heirloom ball.
Family stockings hung with care,
were used for transport through mid-air.
The Christmas tree was under attack!
Will we ever get that Wiseman back?
He has a penchant for glossy bows.
I won’t even tell you what he does to those.
Each night in bed, we dread the crash
As through the branches, he makes his dash!
Strings of lights were the last to go.
Where he hid them? We’ll never know.
Another Christmas felled by the jaws
Of that evil cat- SANTA CLAWS!
