The Comfort Blanket
My turn today,
to wrap up in the comfort
of Grammie’s crocheted blanket.
Green, pink, yellow,
dazzles like diamond jewelry,
comforting scents, like joy.
Snatched from the cedar chest.
Who gets it next?
Whose dreams will the blanket guide?
A magic carpet,
camping tent,
a sail to cross the sea.
to wrap up in the comfort
of Grammie’s crocheted blanket.
Green, pink, yellow,
dazzles like diamond jewelry,
comforting scents, like joy.
Snatched from the cedar chest.
Who gets it next?
Whose dreams will the blanket guide?
A magic carpet,
camping tent,
a sail to cross the sea.
