The Grass is Always Greener

Indoor leaf,
as you curl and spy out the window
towards outdoor leaf,
shining in the sun,
do you wonder
what it might be like to grow
outside
rather than in?

Outdoor leaf,
as you extend your branch and peer in
on indoor leaf,
sipping water from a can
do you wonder
what it might be like to grow
inside
rather than out?

Window, still and see through,
one side in, the other out,
//mirroring//
how does it feel to sit in the middle?
Green reflects green reflects green.
