The Nautulis Shell
Abandoned,
tossed among beach stones.
Seeking tenants
to guide me back to sea.
Pearly interior,
a chambered spiral.
Sand clogs my entrance.
I despair.
Hermit crab backs in,
a perfect fit!
Child pitches me far to sea.
Safe, for now.
tossed among beach stones.
Seeking tenants
to guide me back to sea.
Pearly interior,
a chambered spiral.
Sand clogs my entrance.
I despair.
Hermit crab backs in,
a perfect fit!
Child pitches me far to sea.
Safe, for now.
