The Dirigible Balloon
Poetry for Children

The Silhouette of the City

The silhouette of the city
sits still in silent shadows
on a canvas of luminous moonlight.
Steeple and skyscraper rockets
wait patiently for countdown
to blast into a jewel encrusted night.
