Three Garden Triolets

Do not harm the butterfly -
she pollinates your favourite plant.
Don’t any fool or nutter try
to harm the lovely butterfly!
Did I just hear you mutter, Why? ?
I’ve TOLD you! Oh, my giddy aunt!
Do not harm the butterfly -
SHE POLLINATES YOUR FAVOURITE PLANT!

Be nicer to the ladybirds,
our lovely, little, spotty guests,
and don’t say any nasty words
about our friends, the ladybirds.
They slash the greenfly by two-thirds
and keep our gardens safe from pests.
Be nicer to the ladybirds,
our lovely, little, spotty guests.

No-one seems to love the slug.
You’d think they would, but sadly not.
He's hated more than any bug,
Yes, no-one seems to love the slug.
I give my slimy friend a hug -
he helps to make my compost rot!
No-one seems to love the slug.
You’d think they would, but sadly not.
