Wander and Wonder

A winter morning’s sherbert sky.
A chilly breeze goes dancing by.
I cannot help but follow yonder.
To wonder and wander.

Crunchy steps on frosty leaves,
Mittens tucked into my sleeves.
I see snow clouds I must get under,
To wander and wonder.

The treeline and the clouds commence.
I hoist myself and hop the fence.
The sky grows dark and bleak, I ponder:
Should I be out to wander?

I turn about-face from the storm.
I dash back home as rain clouds form.
Back in my house I hear the thunder.
I read a book and wonder.
