Wanderlust
I told Mum: “I gotta go
To Oregon and Idaho,
Then I’ll hike down to Wyoming,
Or to Quebec, or to Beijing.
And then, from up the Himalayas
(Once I’ve climbed the Everest),
I’ll go straight to Ushuaia,
But I’ll go North by Northwest.
Then, layover in Mumbai
On my way to Shangri-La,
Then to Greenland and Hawaii,
And Cape Canaveral, Florida.
I’ll be there right around high noon,
So I might as well jump on the Apollo
And go to the Moon.
And Mum said "All right then,
Just make sure you’re back home by 10!”
To Oregon and Idaho,
Then I’ll hike down to Wyoming,
Or to Quebec, or to Beijing.
And then, from up the Himalayas
(Once I’ve climbed the Everest),
I’ll go straight to Ushuaia,
But I’ll go North by Northwest.
Then, layover in Mumbai
On my way to Shangri-La,
Then to Greenland and Hawaii,
And Cape Canaveral, Florida.
I’ll be there right around high noon,
So I might as well jump on the Apollo
And go to the Moon.
And Mum said "All right then,
Just make sure you’re back home by 10!”
