Was it Something I Said?
I once knew a newt known as Nelson
who lived at the edge of a spring.
He came to my hand when I called him
to gobble the insects I’d bring.
But one day I seemed to offend him
with a joke about poisonous kin.
He dove in the water and left me!
That newt must have had a thin skin.
who lived at the edge of a spring.
He came to my hand when I called him
to gobble the insects I’d bring.
But one day I seemed to offend him
with a joke about poisonous kin.
He dove in the water and left me!
That newt must have had a thin skin.
