Weather Fairies
In a magical forest where trickery dwells,
There were fairies controlling the seasons with spells.
The last day of summer was finally here.
Their job was to make the next season appear.
It was time for some pumpkins and colorful trees,
And orchards of apples and chilly fall breeze.
While chanting the words, they stood proudly and tall.
Then changed the season from summer to… WINTER?!
With icicle hair and their shivering wings,
They questioned the onset of wintery things.
Except for Frostine, a mischievous one.
The others accused her. “Hey! What have you done?!”
She had broken their wands so the spell wouldn’t work.
Then recited her winter time spell with a smirk.
Frostine preferred cold, and she sure loved to tease.
Plus hay and the leaves in the fall make her sneeze.
She made a small snowman and mounted her sled.
While others were busy repairing instead.
They mended their wands to undo what she’d done.
“Fairies assemble. The chant has begun!”
Bring on red leaves, we want colors of all!
Bring on the pumpkins, let’s have us a… SPRING?!
Frostine’s not the sole one with pranks to provide.
They all have a bit of a rascally side.
When the season expected is not what you get,
That means fairies are pulling another prank yet.
