Why We Dream
Flying should be easy,
like it is in dreams.
Rooftops beneath toetips,
gentlest push and drift and soar,
held aloft by will alone,
not coming down until morning’s alarms.
But flying isn’t that easy,
it eats energy, requires technology,
or biology
beyond your body or mine.
Which is why
we dream.
like it is in dreams.
Rooftops beneath toetips,
gentlest push and drift and soar,
held aloft by will alone,
not coming down until morning’s alarms.
But flying isn’t that easy,
it eats energy, requires technology,
or biology
beyond your body or mine.
Which is why
we dream.
