Your Brother

Listen to Niall's poem ... read by JH
I finish half-chewed crusts
from your Spiderman dish,
your brother screams Gross!

I hold your hand, so tiny
and marmalade sticky,
your brother shouts Yucky!

I brush your teeth, minty flecks
spark my cheeks,
your brother yells Eek!

I check your room for monsters,
promise to guard your door
while you sleep. And when you do

I kiss your face, lingering
to feel your warm exhales.
Your brother would go Eww!

But he's asleep now too,
and it's his turn next.
